Spaying or neutering indoor cats is one of the most important things that you need to do. We say that to every person we know who is adopting a cat. You don't want them getting hormonal and trying to escape the house multiple times a year, and you definitely don't want them coming home pregnant if they do escape. Of course, most of us here are responsible, so we make sure that this happens. But of course, we are not in the operating room with the vets, and so, in a way, we put our trust in the vet to do what has to be done.

That's what the person in this story did. The did the right thing and got their kitty spayed. Or so they thought. Something must not have gone right at the vet's if their spayed cat came home pregnant. The sweet cat gave birth to a couple of adorable kittens, and the cat's owner, confused as they were by the whole thing, didn't panic and is continuing to do the right things now. But the vets… disappointed us. Because not only did they mess up the actual procedure, they are also forcing this cat owner to pay for a second spaying. Wait, no, they did give the cat owner a discount for it. We hope it was a big one.

The relief, followed by the confusion, followed by the shock… this must have been one emotionally exhausting day for this cat owner. First of all, we are so glad that this kitty is back home from her adventure. She clearly knew the way back, and knowing that she came to you when she needed help should be a comfort. Second of all… wow. This is the first time that we have heard of something like this happening, and honestly, it is a little spooky.

The audacity. They messed up the spaying, caused you and your cat so much anguish, are about to cause the cat more once she goes back in for the second time, and they… refuse to do the procedure for free? Absolute madness. They should have offered to do it for free, to make up for what they did. A discount is like a slap to the face in our opinion. It better have been a massive, massive discount.
