Merry Hissmas! Well, almost. Merry (almost) Hissmas Eve, cat mothers and fathers! While you're probably busy with holiday preparations and keeping your extended family occupied in between meals, give yourself a much-needed break with some feline funnies, created solely to boost your mood when you're feeling out of it. We finally passed the shortest day of the year, and now, the sunshine is only looking up from here! The winter blues really start to kick in once Christmas is over, so this weekend, you might be feeling the funk a little extra. Don't worry, we all are. Putting your best foot forward as you walk (on twos, not fours) into 2026 is the purrfect way to start the year off right.

What goes into your Christmas preparation? Do you bake the cookies, plan out the charcuterie, swear to your cat that you'll be tossing them right out the door if they climb the Christmas tree one more time? Of course, you never would. Our cats know that, to our disadvantage. Instead, they continue to lick the icing bowl that's sitting on your butcher block, tip over glasses of water you put in the most unreachable places, and meow at you if you so much as walk by their food bowl. They're starving. They ate five minutes ago! Do what you do best, and consume some cat content in between cooling the cake and icing it!

If there's one thing all cat parents know for sure, it's that our felines prefer the box their Christmas present got delivered in rather than the present itself. Can you blame them? A cardboard box is snug, pairs well with a packing peanut or two, and is optimal biting material when they're overstimulated. Do they make human-sized cardboard boxes? Asking for a friend…
No matter what, your cat will pawdore anything you buy them… It might just be the box instead of the overly expensive automated toy that you saw in an Instagram advertisement. You live, and you learn, right pawrents? When you're opening Christmas gifts this year, consider the pawssibility that one man's trash is another feline's treasure.
