We all know some people need the spotlight more than others, and most of the time, the only repercussion of that is second-hand cringe for the people surrounding the self-proclaimed main event. If the spotlight lovers in your life are acquaintances, friends, or coworkers, that can be annoying, but when it's a sibling? I can't imagine what growing up in the shade of a spotlight-hungry, has to be a star of the show sister.
See, I'm an older brother, and me and my younger brother are as close as can be, and while I'm sure he did experience some aspects of "being in the shade" of his older brother, especially during childhood, he and I grew up as friends just as well as brothers, with mutual respect and love and the occasional WWE reenactment in our parents living room. And just like in wrestling, we each had our time and space to shine.
The kind of behavior the sister shows would almost make sense if she were sixteen. Being an attention seeker as a teenager is practically part of the job description. You're still figuring out who you are, you don't know what actually makes you valuable, and half your identity comes from how other people react to you. But carrying that same attitude into your late forties is a different story. By now, most people find pride in something real work they're good at, relationships they've built, a skill or two that proves the world doesn't revolve around them anymore. She, on the other hand, seems to have turned staying stuck into her biggest accomplishment.
