'Why you shouldn't eat at other people's houses': This cat was banned from the counter, so it maliciously complied in the most chaotic, comedic, and cat-like way

This feisty feline proves that if there's a loophole, the cat will find it without fail.

"No cats on the counter" is basically a universal rule in a cat purrson's house. It's not sanitary, and we already have enough cat hair to clean up without worrying if it's in our food or on our cutting boards. But, that doesn't mean that our cats willingly follow the rules, you would be very bold to assume that. We've tried everything from aluminum foil to spray bottles, and the only thing that worked for us was to lure them off with a piece of cheese. We're not sure who got trained to do what here, but we're pretty sure it was us and not them.

We all know that it's nearly impawssible to get a cat to do what you want them to do. Cats are purrfectly independent creatures - they follow their own rules and expect you to follow them as well. Our cats are strict enforcers of their bedtimes. If we dare to stay up later than their normal bedtime, they will sit and stare at us until we make the right decision. You don't want to know what happens if they move to the second stage which is past staring and judging.

Our cat below is the purrfect example of a cat doing its own thing in its own way. It chooses the most chaotic, comedic, and pawsitively cat-like way to technically not be on the counter while still being on the counter. From perching on top of the coffee machine to loafing in a baking pan, this feisty feline said "fluffy you" to its hooman's rules and got comfy. It's hilarious, silly, and exactly what we signed up for.

If we're being honest, it's the pawrents' fault for leaving so many items on the counter that are purrfect for cats to lie on. Cats love small, enclosed spaces, so anything like a bowl, bag, or box is basically an invitation for a cat to loaf on it. These spaces make them feel safe and protected, so while they're technically not on the counter, they're basically giving this cat the most pawsitively enjoyable loopholes it could ever ask for.

This one above is the one that truly makes us believe that this cat knows exactly what it's doing and is purrfectly smug about doing it. A rolled-up towel? Even that's a stretch for a cat. But that smirk tells us everything we need to know - this feline is feeling feisty and loves every single second of it.
