A big part of the reason that cats have remained one of the most popular pets for thousands upon thousands of years is the sheer entertainment value that they provide to us. Everything from the way that they play, both by themselves and with others, to the way that they meow is enough to delight most avowed cat lovers. Short-form video platforms are riddled with cat videos for this very reason, as watching one or several of our feline friends get up to various silly antics is a guaranteed crowd pleaser. Cats may have a reputation for acting aloof, but they are jokers at heart.

As we are well aware of by now, this translates perfectly into the world of memes. Feline fans are adept at turning these funnier animals into even funnier internet images, and they never seem to run out of new and interesting ways to do it. Heck, even the tried-and-true classics are something that most of us can get a kick out of, purely because the animals who star in them are so beguiling.
