Listen up, folks, this is the last day before a brand new year, and we all know what that means. There are only a precious few hours left to enjoy the last of the holiday indulgence before the 'new year, new me' mindset kicks in, and it is time to put aside everything delicious to be replaced with morning runs and obsessing over protein intake. 

It isn't mandatory to be more health-conscious in January, but time and again it has been proven that this is exactly what a lot of people try (and often fail) to do. If you happen to be one of those people, you don't need to have a miserable time in the kitchen. While you might not be able to enjoy the full extent of what food has to offer, there are plenty of healthy-ish meals to make that are actually tasty and worth coming back to. 

You can also console yourself with a wide range of cooking memes, which use food as the punchline, whether it appears to be edible or not. Eating with your eyes may not be as satisfying as doing it the traditional way, but it can certainly prove to be entertaining.
