The woman who helped the other woman find an outfit was having a randomly bad day later on. Nothing was going her way and she was brought to the brink of tears. So she stopped at a little grocery store on her way home to pick up some treats. While standing in line trying not to cry, another woman tapped her on the shoulder.
It was the woman she helped. The other woman could tell that this woman was not having a good day. So she leaned in, gave her some chocolate, and thanked her again for her help. She also informed her that she, indeed, got the job.
Sometimes it's the little things that can turn a bad day around, in this case, it was the universe paying kindness forward.

‘I know its cheesy…': Woman helps a stranger in a thrift store pick an outfit for a job interview, then on a random bad day she bumps into that person and they turn their frown upside-down
Pay it forward, then when you're having a bad day the universe might just pay it back. This woman had a bad day turned completely around after helping a woman pick an outfit out at a thrift store.
It was just one of those days for this lady. She had nothing to do and was mindlessly browsing a local thrift store. She had a tote bag from the store, so another woman approached her asking if she worked there. Since she was mindlessly going about her day, she didn't immediately answer. She just asked her what she could help her with.
The other woman was on the brink of tears. She was trying to figure out what to wear for a job interview she was going to have. She hadn't done a job interview in a long time and had no idea what to wear. She knew the place wasn't business professional, but it wasn't casual either. So the woman went to work at helping her find a fit.
She went through several different outfits and even gave her some words of advice. She told her "it's all in the shoulders" and reminded her to come in confident. Eventually, they found the perfect interview outfit for her. Then the other woman found out that this woman didn't actually work there. She was so touched that a stranger would take time out of their day to help a stranger. She gave her a hug and never forgot her kindness.
The universe eventually brought these two ladies back together…
