There is no world in which moving into a new apartment will be a silent process. That being said, there are definitely ways to avoid annoying your neighbors too much.

Sure, building and setting up furniture items is going to be noisy. If a particular project is going to be especially loud, it might behoove you to notify your neighbors in advance and to tackle said project in the least invasive way possible. That means timing things carefully. Ask your neighbors when they might be away from home or when it will be most convenient for them to be able to withstand loud drilling sounds. 

Now, it's easy to convince yourself that this kind of communication can do more harm than good. Perhaps by attempting to give your neighbors an advanced warning, you're actually giving them more fodder to criticize you down the road. Still, we believe that even in the face of those negative consequences, the average neighbor will appreciate that you gave them the heads up. Well, at least, they will be more appreciative than they would be if you gave them no warning at all.
