The Golden Rule. I'm sure there's something in there about how one shouldn't tattle on another person, especially if you aren't actually tattling on them at all and instead, are simply making up lies about them because you're trying to cover your own tracks. This happens all too often in relationships regarding cheating accusations, but it also happens in workplaces between colleagues. If someone can get a leg up in any way possible, they just might make up some little white lies to do it.

It's usually the guiltiest ones who point the dirty finger, now, isn't it? The guilt is reminiscent of days in our early childhoods when we'd eat our Mom's snacks, then point the finger at our little brother when Mom entered our shared bedroom with a "you're in trouble" face on. We swear to all the heavens that little Joey stuck his tiny hand in the cookie jar, and after he gets his jail sentence, we wipe the chocolate chip residue off our hands before Mom lets her imagination run rampant. The coast is clear; We've won this one.

This next story goes a little something like that scenario. An employee falsely accuses two of her colleagues of leaving before the office clock struck 5 in the evening. The kicker? This same employee has been leaving early multiple times per week, so much so that her boss installed a Ring security camera to keep tabs on her whereabouts. You'd think that knowing there is a device in the room tracking the whereabouts of every employee would prevent her from running rampant with her lies, but you'd think wrong.
