All work comes out of some particular time and space, even if it's pretending to be another. Star Wars came from a very specific time in American history, and it had a lot to say about geopolitics and the nature of power in its time, even if it was actually set in a galaxy "far, far away." This is why we love science fiction so much. It's relatable despite not being actually relatable.
