‘She never stopped it’: Woman repeatedly allows dog to destroy neighbor's plants despite numerous polite complaints, so he deliberately overwaters the soil, covering her dog in mud, forcing her to keep him away from his garden

Petty revenge in the form of muddy pawprints:

Actual Culprit: fed-up, plant-loving neighbor!

If you're unlucky enough to be stuck with a neighbor who refuses to respect your boundaries, and the boundaries of your beautiful (once blossoming) plants, sometimes you have to force them into respect. Now, we're not talking anything crazy…but the most plain, old, and simple, yet equally successful trick in the book: Giving them a taste of their own medicine! 

(And this time, it's not strawberry flavored either!)

This homeowner, like many others, takes pride in his gardening. After all, plants are living things too, making them equally undeserving of being chewed up and eaten by the entitled neighbor's curious dog! So after many failed polite attempts to get her dog to stop munching on his side of the fence, he knew it was the last time he was willing to hear the "dogs do these things" excuse. So he took it upon himself to teach her a lesson that would keep her dog away from his side of the garden, a very muddy lesson, indeed. 

He made sure to over-water the plants with an extremely "heavy hand" to ensure the soil would turn into mud, and stay extra dirty for hours. The perfect place for a curious pup to explore? No doubt about it. The perfect way to get your neighbor's squeaky-clean house covered in mud? No doubt about it.

  • …And if she dares to send over the carpet’s dry-cleaning bill, then perhaps he’ll take some more drastic measures. But for now, the muddy paw prints are bound to keep her occupied. At least long enough to give him a few weeks to let his plants discover life again!

    No one wants to intentionally sabotage a neighbor, as a chewed plant is nothing to sue over…but just something he would prefer his beloved garden not to endure, even if that means making an enemy or two. Because enemy-making is never really intentional, but just the combination of two unlike-minded people forced to share a fence! And as I've mentioned in the past, we cannot choose our neighbors (or their pets). So it is extremely likely that we will not agree on everything that goes on between the walls of our two homes. So if you're unwilling to compromise to meet your neighbor's needs, you may want to sleep with one eye open…or just get a 24-hour security guard to watch over your herbs and shrubs.

  • I didn’t fight with my neighbor. Mud did

    There was a woman living next to my house. She had a big dog. Every morning she used to let the dog loose near my side of the fence.
