This is a part of being human. It makes it kind of beautiful when you think about it. So much is automated in our current world that it can feel like there's no human touch anymore. Everything is optimized and perfected down to the last degree. But that isn't true if you know where to look.

There are little moments of humanity all around us. And that sign that was spelled wrong, in that advertisement that doesn't quite make sense, in that building with the weird roof, and in our homes with that lightbulb we just can't be bothered to replace. It's evidence of our fallibility and our humanity. Mistakes are what make the world go round. It's literally what evolution is based on. If nature never slipped up now, and again, we wouldn't have all the species of animals that we currently do. If nobody had ever made a mistake while speaking a language, the language would have never evolved. If everyone acted all the time, we would get so bored with each other that we'd never get out of bed.

Evolution and growth take trial and error, randomness, and mistakes. It's the way our world is set up. This is why we come together to look at design fails every week. Because they remind us that we are not robots. We are humans who mess up, and that should be celebrated. If we can't laugh at our own mistakes, then what can we laugh at?
