It is no big secret that pitbulls are one of the most abandoned dog breeds on the planet, and this story tells the tale of yet another sweet souled pupper who thankfully met their furever pawrent while lost on the street.

Each and every pitbull story is a sad one, at least to begin with. A breed that has been so stigmatized they stand little chance of making it in the world on their own. Which is what makes these abandonment stories so sad because when they are out on the world on their own they are more than likely to be viewed as a threat than a pupper in need. And because of their status in many states and countries they are not even eligible to be saved by standard shelters.

However, that is also what makes the success stories such as this one so powerful and heartwarming. And so we are delighted to share with you this story of pitbull pupper triumph, the story of a dog who beat the odds of abandonment and found a loving and caring furever home that did not see breed, but a doggo in desperate need.

  • Jheez that is just heartbreaking. Can you imagine what it is like to be a dog with no agency over the hooman world you live in? To be dumped by your owner, the light of your life, just because you had given them a litter. Then to be given up on by another hooman who sort of tired to help you but gave up. You would be terrified of everything and everyone. How are you meant to be able to trust in anyone? The belief that you will be safe once more sometime, someway? We completely understand this poor pupper’s fear, it is totally justified, and thank goodness it is about to come to an end.

  • We know that we often find ourselves shocked at this fact, but it keeps coming back around and it is consistently shocking to see and hear about. In almost every dog rescue case and most other animals at that, there comes the moment when the savior turns to a shelter or rescue for support. Either to house the animal or to help find them a new home, neither of which the organization is capable of doing, because they are simply so overwhelmed with their current population. And yet, each and every day people are out there buying pure breeds from people who have no business breeding animals. Please people, rescue a dog, there are more than enough pure breeds out there in rescues who deserve a real and loving home.
