Kind woman finds friendly three-legged dog wandering parking lot, discovers he belongs to a beloved homeless man in the community, reunites them: ‘He loves this dog SO much!’

A kind woman came across a friendly three-legged dog (aka a tripod dog) wandering around a parking lot alone. He hopped right into her car and immediately knew he was asking for help. So she went to work!

She took the sweet baby in and went straight to the vet to see if he had a chip. Luckily, he did! Unluckily, it was from a past owner who had no idea where his current owner is. They did, however, find out his name was Knuckles.

This pup is happy, looks healthy, and has a clean coat. It is clear that Knuckles is well-loved. So this woman makes it her mission to find his dad. Through some investigation, she finds out that Knuckles' father is a homeless man who is actually very loved by his community. Many neighbors help to feed and house both Knuckles and his dad, often. However, no one had seen the man in a while and that was immediately alarming, because he never leaves his dog's side.

People say he treats his dog way better than he even treats himself and he can often be seen wheeling his tripod dog around the neighborhood in a wagon. But where is he and why is he not with Knuckles?

The woman who found Knuckles knew she had to reunite the dog with his dad. She got the phone number of a neighbor he often visits and stays with and asked her to call her if he ever shows up.
After only a couple of days, she gets the call! Relieved, she hurries to take Knuckles to be reunited with his dad. The both were very happy to see each other! Having only three legs did not stop Knuckles from jumping up and giving his dad a bunch of slobbery kisses, to which his dad happily accepted.

The relationship of this community and this dog-dad duo is truly remarkable. Throughout this entire process, nobody judged this man for his life, they just expressed concern for his well-being and the well-being of his pup. They worked hard to reunite them because the entire community could see that this dog was well-loved and in good hands. Just because a man does not have a house to lay his head in, doesn't mean he doesn't have a home. His home is Knuckles and we are so happy to see them reunited and to see this beautiful example of a community continue to help this dog-dad duo out.
