Kind Kansan woman spots dog wandering around on the side of the Interstate, picks her up and changes both of their lives forever: ‘She gets along with my reactive Rottweiler!’

While other cars zoomed by this poor pup wandering alone on a busy interstate, this woman decided to stop.

The dog, now known as "Lily," was all alone under a bridge. The road was pretty busy and cars were not stopped. This woman saw this dog and decided to rescue her. She turned around and doubled back to find her again. The pup was very friendly and was immediately grateful that somebody stopped to pick her up. The woman and this pup were instantly in love.

She took her to a vet to see if she had a chip, which she did not. Currently, in her living situation, she already has two dogs, one a reactive Rottweiler, so she knew she couldn't keep her… or can she?

She went to several different rescues, but none took in strays. The one that did was hours away. Eventually, she got them on the phone, and they said her best option is for her to at least foster the pup. Torn between her reactive dog at home and her landlord not allowing a third dog, she was hesitant on what to do.

But destiny had other plans for these two…

The woman posted about her rescue operation and how Lily is now. Lily is the happiest looking pup, with a big 'ole puppy dog smile and a wagging tail. And the woman was ecstatic too! Not only because she was able to make a stray pup a happy one, but it turns out her reactive Rottweiler loves Lily!
That's right, her reactive dog, who tends to never get along with other pups, is totally enamored with this new doggo. The two play well together, go on walks together, and happily share a space. It melted the woman's heart!
The videos went extremely viral, with some viewers even offering to help donate so she could purchase a house so she could keep this third dog. Though she didn't feel comfortable accepting random strangers' money, she was touched. And she was also able to get approval from her landlord to properly foster Lily!

Now, Lily is in a safe, warm, and loving home instead of wandering around a dangerous and busy road. Though the woman is still only fostering Lily, the dynamic between the duo is nothing but pure love. She recently created an Amazon wishlist for Lily due to so many viewers insisting on also wanting to help her and Lily.
We wish all the best for Lily and, though we secretly hope she can just stay with her rescuer forever, we're still rooting for her to find her furever home, wherever that may be.
