Why do cats collect little knick-knacks like they're those people who scour the beach with metal detectors in hopes of finding some lost treasure? Sure, they're in the bigger-picture cat family, but I thought that years of domestication might have dimmed their hunting light a little bit. Man, was I wrong. Any time my cat sees a mini mosquito flying about the house, he turns into a different animal. Our feline's behavior tends to change once their instincts kick in, so our sweet angel babies turn into maniacs who will do anything to protecc themselves… even attacc.
But they'll never attacc us, their purrecious owners. We're their cat meowthers and pawthers, if you will. How lucky are we that we are blessed with their presence, even if that means that we need to let them steal our belongings and hoard them? I'd say pretty darn lucky.
