We all have a few special stories of how we met significant individuals in our lives. You can have a beautiful and romantic story of how you met your partner, or a sweet story of how you connected to your best friend. These tales will be there to return to and explore for the rest of your life. Hopefully, one day, your kids will be able to tell the story of how their parents met and pass along the tale to generations of the family.
As beautiful as these stories are, we all have one meet-cute that wins all other stories, and that is the tale of how we connected with our beloved pet. There is simply something cosmic about how a pet owner finds their pet, a connection that feels like two soulmates finding each other against all odds. We often love to credit the cat distribution system for some of these encounters, for example, but we all know there is often something bigger at play.
Out of all the stories we have to share, the ones of how we met our cats are our absolute favorite. Even here at I Can Haz Cheezburger, we have told this heartwarming story so many times, we are almost sure people are sick of hearing it. But that will never make us stop. We will tell these stories to our children, and will make sure they tell them to their children. We want that love story to grow wings of its own. We wouldn't even be surprised if someone wanted to make them into storybooks.
The sweet story of the kind owner and the alien cat below also deserves to be presented in the hall of fame of stories. This dog owner didn't even look for a cat when they saw this pawdorable kitten with oddly-shaped ears staring at them through a window. However, the minute they locked eyes, they knew it was meant to be, and the rest was howlarious history.
