What we love about this guy is that he has truly captured the essence of what it means to be a tax collector. Because you cannot simply go about asking people and businesses for money, you have to do so with an air that you deserve that money, that it is your birthright, that all you have to do is exist and that money is rightfully yours. Which is not something that everyone can do, whether it is money or cheese. But what really made us feel this way about this pupper is the lack of want to relocate. Typical tax collector behavior right there, why would you relocate when everything around you is already partially yours?

It looks like Petey has spent a good portion of his life on Squirrel Patrol. You can see it in his distant albeit content stare into the horizon. Calmly scanning his surroundings for Squirrels while simultaneously thinking about all the satisfying moments that have led him up to this point in life. He looks like he has mastered the art and is unfettered by the challenge that his duty poses. We should all aspire to live like Petey, to reach the end of our career with a clutch-full of memories to keep us warm in our retirement.
