11 year old dog who disappeared for 3 days miraculously survives an all-day rainstorm, only to be found and returned to her family, pawrents say: ‘She's going to get both a microchip and a GPS tracking device on her collar’

3 day disappearance for a dog is not usually a big ordeal, but when your dog has the opposite of survival instincts, every hour outside the care of hoomans counts.

It is rather ironic how the creature that we tamed over thousands of years has gone from a fierce predator and master of its domain to a soft and squishy cuddle machine that has less survival instinct than a hooman baby. But that seems to be the point we have gotten to on the canine evolutionary scale, at least if we are to go by the story of this lost doggo.

She spent all of three days in a relatively built up area with access to food she did not need to hunt and still came home a shivering, shell shocked mess of a dog who looks like she had seen the darkest of times on the fields of Brittany. But we guess that is the price of turning these once-wolves into our canine children, they truly have turned into children. So the question that remains to be answered is whether or not we have done the right thing in making them this way.

Wow, we cannot imagine the kind of stress that must go through a pawrents heart when they lose their doggo for a second time. Especially as the first time was so touch and go. It is in stark contrast to most of the other lost dog stories that we come across, but then again doggos are a varied bunch. And it seems as though this pawticular canine child not only did not have any survival instincts, but in fact had the opposite of survival instincts. That must have been terribly worrying for her pawrents.

Jheez, this has escalated quickly. It is almost as though things keep going from bad to worse for this lost pupper. Which is definitely not what you want as a concerned pawrent who knows that this doggo has a history of handling being lost rather poorly. We can only hope that this doggo picked up some common sense after the last time it got lost and took cover from the rainstorm. Otherwise doggo flu will have to be added to the long list of expected health issues that this dog will face upon being found.
