Feline escape artist hides under house, making mom think she ran away after hours of searching and crying, cat comes out covered in cobwebs to wipe on mom and says: ‘I was following my destiny as a feline and boldly going where no cat had gone before’

You might have thought that with all the many muscles that cats have to hear and respond to our cries, that they would be great communicators. But as you'll find amongst the lines of this story, that could not be further from the truth.

You know how there are those funny signs with warnings that obviously come from a unique incident carried out by some sort of unique idiot? Well, this story is the feline equivalent of that. A tale of a cat who decides to play hide and seek with the sole intention of getting under his cat mom's skin by hiding under the house. A pitiful prank that almost resulted in the pawrent risking life and limb to check if the idiot cat had gotten stuck on the roof.

Now sure you might be right in thinking that such a story sounds familiar, and there is one that does compare - the boy who cried wolf. And while it is true that this cat child will not be believed the next time that something like this happens, in the original story there is nothing about the boy rubbing it in the town's people's faces that there was no wolf…

  • This is the irony with cats. Their behavior is so comical that it ends up fueling memes, and unlike many other memes that are made up or exaggerated, cat memes are 100% true and based in real experience. Case in point, this cat has hundreds of muscles in its ear and yet for all the time that its mother frantically called out for it, it simply could not care to use one of them to listen to her distressed calls. Not to mention that cats can be some of the loudest screamers in the domesticated world when they want to be. Only adding insult to injury over the non-response.

  • Yeah, this cat is just trouble. We would be more fearful for the snakes if there were any under the house than the menace of a cat who went down there. Sometimes, there is no avoiding the fact that the animal who you so dearly hoped would be your cute cat child, as actually just a roommate with teenaged level maturity who loves nothing more than to mess with you, and sometimes even to mess you up. It is a harsh reality to contend with but one that we cannot ignore.
