You might have thought that getting a cat to the vet is a simple affair, but as you will come to find from this story, it is one of the greatest challenges a cat pawrent can come up against.

We all know that cats are smart, much smarter than dogs that is for sure. But one thing that often goes unnoticed (mainly because they want it to) is just how devious our cat children can be. Using their incredible intelligence to outwhit us at every turn and making our lives just that little bit tougher and more uncomfortable.

Now you might wonder to yourself why a creature who is fed by us, housed by us, doted on by us and given all the love and attention in the world by us, would turn on us in such a devious way. And the only somewhat reasonable answer we have to offer is that they get a thrill out of the chase, and out of pushing their creative limits. At least that is what we have come to understand from this clever cat's account of how she tried to evade her pawrents grasp to go to the vet.

  • This sure is one heck of a clever cat. Clever to the point of evil genius. As any cat pawrent can attest to, when it comes time to find your fluffy fur baby to go to the vet, or even simply in the case that you want to know that they are still at home and doing well, it can be harder than finding Waldo. At least Waldo semi wants to be found, a cat child who is uninterested interaction is one of the toughest things to spot on the planet. They know how to use darkness, camouflage and crevices to disguise and hide their existence from the world. And the moment that they shut their eyes, you can almost entirely furget about being able to find them. At least when they are open you have a chance of catching the glimmer that can bounce off them.

  • Ah see, what did we say, all it takes is a glimmer, though considering how well this cat hid itself it likely would have taken the meow and the glimmer to figure out where the heck it had been hiding. It is rather wild when you think about it. That a cat can be so clever as to hide so brilliantly as to not be found, until its protesting behavior is accepted. And even after that point to not fully reveal itself as it knows better than to give the hooman what they want too quickly, lest they go back on their word.
