A Super Bowl party turns sour when a grown man decides to accuse his sister-in-law's foster teen of stealing. Spoiler: The teen did nothing.

The Super Bowl is a time for pigging out on miscellaneous chip dips, sitting on a couch for too long, and counting down the minutes to the halftime show. It's an American tradition for many, and it's supposed to be a happy day filled with family, friends, and some good sports.

It'd be naïve to say that everyone has this reality, though. Some might not be interested in sports, others might not be fortunate enough to have friends to share the moment with, or you'll end up leaving prematurely because a family member accuses you of stealing from them. Well, not your family member, but someone related to your current foster parent.

The foster system is rough. A child can bounce from home to home in search of permanence. Unfortunately, many foster families couldn't care less about the child they're housing, but that can be said of the foster mom in this next story. When her brother-in-law accuses her foster daughter of stealing a watch from him, she refuses to let him get away with it.   • This type of isolation is painful for anyone, let alone a teen in the foster system. She's unable to ever truly feel like a part of her foster family because she has a relative in her ear, constantly making her feel like “other” rather than part of a family unit.

    What is the reason for Rick acting this way? We're not sure. We're going to have to chalk it up to something inward he might be dealing with. Maybe he can't fathom that some people are good people. Who knows. All that we do know is that speaking to an innocent teenager with such anger and trying his best to isolate her emotionally is unacceptable and immature.
