29-year-old Mom of 1.5-year-old living with 35-year-old in-laws and 2 nieces discovers husband invited ex-boss's family of 4 to stay with them: 'I'm getting more and more upset'

There are way too many people crammed into one house, and they're driving the host up the wall.

You don't always appreciate the little things, like silence, having your own personal space, and having time to yourself, until they're ripped from you. Having kids certainly makes people realize that! You probably see videos or posts all the time from new moms, lamenting how "no one told them" about various aspects of childrearing. It's hard! You won't get much sleep for like, the first several years of your kid's life. If you're blessed enough to have parents who can help you out, or other family members around who can care for your baby, that definitley lessens the burden.

But this person is dealing with her 1.5 year old baby, as well as her 12 and 6 year old neices, all living under the same roof. And yet, even with her husband, brother, and sister-in-law all living in the same house, she's more frazzled than ever. Instead of getting help with her baby, this Mom shares that she's been doing most of the cleaning for her messy extended family. She's got 0 privacy, no break from all of this mess and pressure, and now…her husband just made things much, much worse.
For some reason — and I cannot fathom why he thought this was a smart move — he invited his former boss, the boss's wife, their 2 children, and their dog to visit over Valentine's weekend. Yikes! The husband must be a supremely extroverted kinda guy to want everyone in his personal space like this.
Understandably, this woman is beyond stressed out over the whole thing. Of course the internet loves to tell people to divorce their partners at the first sign of struggle, and I don't think this woman should, but she truly needs to find a way to get her own space to herself. If she divorces that husband and get a 50/50 custody split, she could have 2 free weekends each month, while the husband hosts everybody and their mother at his home. I wonder if he would still enjoy hosting if he was the one handling all the cooking and cleaning.
