There's nothing more that we love more than our quiet nights home with our cats. One makes biscuits on our legs while the other loafs on our chests, all while we're reading a good book or catching up on Love is Blind (or whatever Netflix show we're currently binging). The thought of having to get up and take a dog for a walk before bed when we're all comfy and sleepy sounds purrfectly awful. For all you dog lovers who do that every night, we salute your dedication. We simply don't want to.

Just because cats are more self-sufficient doesn't mean they're necessarily “easier” pets. Cats come with their own troubles, like waking you up with zoomies in the middle of the night, climbing anything that could pawssibly be climbed, scratching your furniture, and escaping with no way to get home. Dogs require a lot more training, bark a lot, and need to be taught to use the bathroom outside, but they generally like everyone and want to be loved all the time. Doesn't sound much easier to us.
