20 Awwdorable Pics of Pageant Puppers from Last St Patrick’s Day

With St Patrick's Day coming up soon we figured it would be a great time to remind all you pupper pawrents to get your canine costumes ready with this collection of awwdorable pageant puppers who competed for the St Paddy's Day prize last year.

It came as quite the surprise to us too that there is so much doggo dress-up going down for St Patrick's Day, but it seems that it is not only hoomans who have had too much sauce who enjoy the delicate green colors that come with St Paddy's day costumes and apparel. Our pawdorable puppers have become rather partial to those colors and costumes and have even gotten to the point of participating in pupper parades that show off their unique takes on the holiday's dress-up guidelines.

From the puppers who took the simple approach and put a spring loaded headband on with bouncing clovers, to the doggos dressed in tutus and tophats, there is quite the range of costumed canines in this list for you to draw inspawration from ahead of this year's celebrations. So sit back, put on your best irish accent and get ready to revel in the glory of these good boys and girls.

  • While these three will not be getting points for originality, we would be giving them a big ole thumbs up for cuteness. Especially if they are proposing a joint entry to this year’s St Patrick’s Day Pageant. There is likely going to be a lot of stiff competition this year judging by this collection of last year’s entrants and if these puppers want to have a chance at winning the grand prize then they might want to consider investing a little bit more in their costumes and originality. Otherwise they will be very quickly eliminated from the competition.

  • Now, this greyhound looks to be taking things much more seriously than the trio of doggos who opened this lovely list of dressed up doggos. Aside from missing some cute green booties to round out her outfit, this lovely lady has put together quite the strong look. You might not have thought that a lilac heavy gauge knit sweater could pair so pleasantly with a St Paddy’s Day green tutu and top hat, but this good girl is pulling it off with style to spare. Additionally, we do not know why, but we are obsessed with the tiny hat on the overall large dog, somehow making her head look peasized.
