Am I the a*sh*le for not telling my boyfriend I’m famous?

So… you're telling me that a TikToker carrying around a million followers in her phone didn't want to tell her BF about that? Her friends never mentioned it, her parents never let that slip, no one around her ever referred to her social media? That is certainly odd…

People simply didn't agree with this teen at all
In some ways, she's kind of right. Being "TikTok famous" — or really famous on any social media platform — is hard to quantify. Just because you have a bajillion followers, doesn't mean you've had a crazy big impact on the world or anything. Plus, people with low follower counts often go viral, which actually does have a bigger impact than just making mid-range content all the time.
However… you can't just hide the fact that you have that many followers on social media. And there's no way they've never looked at memes together, or watched videos together, or talked about posting each other to their various social pages. There's a reason couples talk about soft launching, hard launching, or the old-fashioned phrase of making something "Facebook official." The BF must be totally offline if he somehow took 6 months to uncover this about his girl.

LOL ok girl, whatever you say
She may not know this, but withholding the truth by just avoiding talking about something is called lying by omission, and it's exactly how she's handled this whole thing.
