Boss tries to pin stock discrepancy on team, only to be proven wrong by employee who documented everything: ‘He did not bring it up again’

If there is one thing this employee knows how to do, it is to take stock of everything that happens in the warehouse.

A lot can happen in a workplace without anyone noticing or paying attention. Work gets done, and employees come and go every day. It's not feasible for everyone to track every action taken by others, and that's okay. But in a workplace like a warehouse, a tracking system must be in place; it would be extremely difficult to run the business otherwise. As soon as there's stock involved in the workplace, attention to detail is a must, and every small mistake can go as far as costing someone their job.

  • Ich_mag_Kartoffeln I long ago learned the value of documenting what happened when. Often routine happenings that were never called upon (X happened at Y time today); but there were several occasions in a relatively short time where the notebook saved my bacon from being thrown under a bus, that a few colleagues (including some supervisors & managers) started calling it the "Notebook of Doom". One manager used to jokingly rear back in terror whenever I pulled it out of my pocket.
