Blessings can come in all kinds of disguises. Maybe it looks like a serendipitous gift from the universe, and maybe it looks like a skinny street cat greeting you as you throw away trash one cold winter night. 

Imagine going out on a cold winter night to quickly take the trash out. You don't want it to be long, and you'd rather not go out at all, but alas, these things need to be taken care of. But when you get to the trash cans you see something you didn't expect. You see a little skinny, greasy, big eyed kitty cat staring up at you just waiting to be fed or pet. You run inside to get some wet food for the little one, and he eats it up quickly. You can see how scrumptious it is to him by the way he's eating! You scoop him up and take him inside. Suddenly you find yourself being a cat dad to a little cat. 

When he was once skinny and greasy, this cat turned out to be quite beautiful with a big, grey fur coat. He has luscious fur and the most adorable, wholesome eyes. In 10 years time, this guy has gone through lots of other pets, but this fluffy kitty has stayed put.   • This story reminds me of when I got my cat. I was walking alone outside and it was also winter. It wasn't too cold out, but I heard some distant meowing and followed the sound. I saw a little cardboard box next to an apartment building. When I looked inside, I saw a tiny, stripped little thing. He was meowing up a storm, and I just couldn't leave him there. I immediately took him in my arms and luckily there was a vet close by. I got him taken care of and cleaned up, they told me he was a mere 5 months old. I took him home and bought all the necessary things. I surprised my roommates with him, but they warmed up to him pretty quickly.
