This is like... theft, right?
I know it's between family and all, but the husband literally stole an expensive item from her, and gave it to her sister, who won't return it. Now they're making this woman feel like she's crazy because she wants her pricey stroller back? Girl, they are gaslighting you, and I mean that in the actual definition of the word, not the commonly overused way. They're trying to make you think you didn't get your baby's stuff taken, and you aren't wrong for wanting that back ASAP.

If you can't act as a husband and wife team before your first baby even arrives, how will you ever handle the child-rearing process? There are going to be long nights with no sleeping, attempting to feed a bottle to a baby who won't stop crying long enough to drink it. You could get through that together, taking turns or having a laugh at the circumstances, but that's only if you have a strong marriage to begin with. Having a child is very difficult, and even the strongest couples struggle with it at times.
As awkward as it is to say, too, it does seem like the husband favors the sister over his own wife. This guy gave away his wife's expensive stroller, then told her to calm down, which is the easist way to rile someone up!
I do wonder if he's cheating on her, or is just otherwise checked out of the marriage, because he doesn't seem to respect her very much. He also apparently said that “family helps family,” which just has an odd connotation in this context. Dude, she's your family too? Hello?
There's no easy solutions here, especially with the baby due in just one more trimester. But it's worth thinking about who she'll raise the baby with — don't let this manchild steal away those precious first months with the baby just because he doesn't like his own wife. Instead, family members who care about this woman could be her village. No husband needed!
