  • Teeangers hanging out in the kitchen
  • First up ― my older sister - Cleo. Ever since she was a kid she was always getting into fights, drama, random chaos... you know, the rebel type. When she was 17, the night before her high school graduation, a bunch of her classmates
  • stayed over at our house so they could all get ready together in the morning. There were seven girls total including Cleo.
  • Our parents are actually pretty chill about us bringing friends over. Their only rule has always been something like "just don't do anything illegal" — and - even that they usually say half-jokingly.
  • So that night the girls were being loud basically all night, hanging out with my two older brothers and three of our older cousins. I was 14 at the time, and they still didn't consider me cool enough to join their little party, sooo I was
  • stuck lying in my room next door listening to them having fun while I was annoyed as h I.
  • Obviously there was alc ol involved. And yeah... my brothers probably had ciga ttes too. Soo yeah, they were partying pretty hard.
  • Around 4 AM, the whole group - drink, loud, and giggling - spilled out of the room and tried to sneak downstairs to the kitchen. I still don't know if they were planning to sneak outside or just grab food or whatever.
  • Teenagers house partying at night
  • Meanwhile 14-year-old me, still salty that they didn't invite me, came out of my room to try and join them again.
  • Part of the group stayed upstairs leaning over the railing, laughing and filming something with their phones happening on the first floor.
  • Before I could even ask what they were filming, I suddenly heard the LOUDEST crash imaginable from downstairs... followed by hysterical laughter from the rest of the group.
  • At that exact moment my brain went oh cr p. If my parents woke up and saw me standing there, they'd probably think I was part of whatever disaster just happened.
  • So I immediately ran back into my room and pretended to be asleep.
  • The crashing and laughing went on for a few more minutes, and then eventually everything got quiet except for a bunch of disappointed sighs. From the sound of it the entire group went back upstairs.
  • The next morning we were all sitting at the table for breakfast... and something looked weird.
  • We were eating from disposable plates and cups, and instead of normal utensils we had tiny plastic forks from my little sister's toy kitchen set.
  • Me and my other siblings were liiike... what the h_I happened here? But our parents, Cleo, and her friends clearly knew.
  • Later that morning when everyone went off to get ready for graduation, one of my older brothers finally told me what actually happened.
  • Teeange girl opening the fridge
  • Apparently at night the whole group got hungry, and Cleo remembered that earlier that day our mom had made this huge chicken and mushroom pie for the family. Our family is big, so the pie was massive.
  • Cleo decided that was the perfect drink-food idea and went downstairs with a couple of her friends to heat it up and bring it upstairs. Here's where things went wrong.
  • My very drink sister tried to put the giant ceramic baking dish with the pie. into the microwave... but it was heavy, and she dropped it.
  • The dish shattered all over the kitchen floor.
  • Shattered plate
  • Everyone started laughing, but Cleo - still very drink - apparently didn't understand that the pie was now completely inedible because a) it was on the floor and b) it was full of ceramic shards.
  • Instead of cleaning it up, she started opening cabinets looking for another dish so she could "save" the pie.
  • But because she was drink, every time she grabbed a plate or bowl that didn't work, she didn't put it back in the cabinet... She just threw it behind her onto the floor.
  • Plate after plate. Bowl after bowl. Which explains the huge crashing noises I heard upstairs.
  • By the time they were done, almost all of our dishes were on the kitchen floor. And the weirdest part?
  • Nobody still knows where half of our silverware went that night. It literally disappeared. We eventually had to buy new ones. The funniest part of the whole story though?
  • silverware utensils
  • After all that... Cleo later went to culinary school. And now she works as a chef in a restaurant with a Michelin star.
  • Soo yeah... that's the story of how a future professional chef once tried to microwave a shattered pie off the kitchen floor at 4 AM while dr_nk.
