I don't know what comes first for a cat: Old age or infinite wisdom.
Although when cat lovers observe their newly adopted feline kitten, it seems they have a single brain cell rattling around in their noggins for at least the first few months. They'll bite the house plants, terrorize the dog, and knock your favorite mugs off the countertop simply for the cute kitten chaos of it all. But as they simmer into adulthood, cats blossom into sages, imparting fruitful feline sacraments upon their human companions.
Old cats become respectable cats, and through their seemingly infinite well of feline fortunes and fables, they imbibe their families with feisty attitudes and a hankering for Fancy Feast. Like society does with their human elders, it's imperative - or I suppose, impurrative - that cat lovers do the same with their kitties.

Their whiskers may become crinkled and their tongues smoothed out from years of grooming, but elder cats deserve more love and affection with each year they pass around the sun. Scraggly is their fur and wrinkled are their toe beans, but senior cats are more special because of their lifelong experiences battling yard raccoons, finding sunny basking spots in the window, and enjoying their favorite kibble gravy from the pet store.

Cherish your kitty for as long as they have with you, because we may spend a chapter of our lives with them, for to a cat, we're a lifelong companion. Cats should be hugged, kissed, pet, and allowed to make biscuits for as many decades as possible, and as they grow grey and show signs of powdered sugar snoots, boop their little pink nose as often as you can to remind them that they're still your baby.
