It's hard to be a person these days. Or probably any day. Do we think cavemen had it easier than us? They had to forage for berries, and they didn't have air conditioning. I think we're doing a little bit better than that. I would have a hard time giving up my grocery store snacks. But that doesn't stop us from knowing that things are tough. We have only ever been alive now (unless you're a vampire, then you probably have bigger issues at hand), so we only know the struggles of now. We know that it's hard to get out of bed in the morning, and it's hard to go to sleep at night. But we know there are certain things that make all of that feel a little bit better. Memes are part of that. 

We need to cut ourselves a little bit of slack. We expect so much of ourselves, so much of the day. We expect to accomplish certain things, and we expect to hit certain milestones. We rarely stop to celebrate our successes. We rarely look around and say, "I did it!" We love to raise our expectations as soon as we accomplish anything. So let's take some time today to look around and realize that life is pretty good. We have memes, after all, and that is half of the journey. Let's look at some fresh ones right now.
