It took a year for him to trust, and every step was worth it.

Around Christmas, a shy stray started showing up outside and kept coming back every day. At first he wouldn't let anyone get close. He would just grab food and run, but slowly, over weeks and months, he started lingering. They named him Ash. He really feels like he’s meant to stay with you. After all that time, all those small steps, and the way he keeps coming closer, it just fits.
