Nothing makes you question everything faster than trying to do your taxes.

Tax season hits and suddenly these cats are acting like they've got everything under control. Papers spread out, serious face on, sitting right in the middle of it all like they're about to get things done. It looks convincing for about ten seconds.

They start off trying. One paw on a paper, a focused look, like they're about to figure something out. Then the confusion sets in. The same paper gets looked at again, like maybe it'll make more sense the second time. It doesn't. Now they're just sitting on it like that's helpful.

Nothing is where it should be. Important papers are mixed with nothing papers, and somehow everything ends up under the cat. The calculator disappears, pens go missing, and the whole setup slowly turns into a mess without anything actually getting done.

They still keep the same energy though. Walking across the keyboard like that's progress, hitting random keys, fully committed to whatever they think is happening. Very confident, no idea what they're doing.

In the end, nothing is finished, everything is more confusing than before, and the cat looks completely drained from the effort. Nothing may have gotten done, but they still expect a refund.

If you’re a pawrent, you should automatically get to claim your furry child as a dependent. They live in your house, eat your food, and absolutely rely on you for everything, that counts. The expenses alone make a strong case. Food, toys, treats, random things they knock over and somehow break, it all adds up. Seems only fair they get listed officially.

Life would be a lot simpler if taxes weren’t a thing. No forms, no math, no sitting there trying to figure out what anything means. Just existing and not having to deal with any of it. Way less stress, way less confusion, and definitely a better use of everyone’s time.
