So many of us grew up on the show. A double life teenager who's actually the biggest pop icon of the era. It was more than just a teen sitcom, it defined a cultural moment for generations growing up in the late 2000s. Miley Cyrus's career blew up, and she become one of the most well-known celebrities. A regular girl by day, but pop idol by night (with the help of a trusty blonde wig). It was funny, heartwarming, and it was really cool. People wanted to be Miley, they wanted to live her life. Animals of all kinds love watching this show for all it's glory – the comedy, the ideation, and the coolness of it. It was so captivating because of the balance between fantasy and relatability. To be a secret pop star is exciting, but Miley still remained a reliable, relatable, and normal teenager who goes through normal teenager things.

The show had such a charm. Her dad's character is the best, and you can really see on screen love between this father and daughter. It made the show feel comforting, relatable. Music was also prevalent in the show. So when there wasn't a scene about high school drama, boys, or teenage girl things, there were cuts of Hannah on stage singing, dancing, and performing. It really broke up the sitcom aspect, and was doing something no show had done before. Each episode included songs performed by Hannah, blending pop with heartfelt lyrics about friendship, dreams, and growing up. The songs became just as iconic as the show itself, and it transformed a normal TV series into a pop phenomenon with concerts, albums, and a devoted fanbase. If you catch your dog, cat, or chinchilla watching this show when you're not looking, don't be surprised! It's the show's anniversary, and it's a great show at that.
