Cuddly farm cat steals the neighbor's chicks so she can raise them as her own, refusing to return her new chicken family to the neighbor: ‘So far she has cost me €27 for stolen chicks’

A farm cat had undeniable meowternal instincts, stealing the neighbor's chicks to raise as her own.

They say that animals adopt the persona of whatever creature raised them in infancy. In most cases, a kitten will be raised by its cat mom, but if a kitten is instead raised by a gaggle of chickens, you may end up with a kitty that clucks instead of meowing. Like all living things, cats are molded by their environment, and because of their purrsistent resilience, clever kitty mind, and their innate survivor mentality, cats are the biggest mimics of their environment, even if it goes against a cat's predatory nature. In most cases, cats will attack a bird, but in this case, all this kitty wanted was some feathery cuddles and beak-pecked kisses.

I've had my fair share of indoor-outdoor cats in my day, and let me tell you, none of them ever brought home a living, breathing bird to my doorstep. Oftentimes greeted with a more macabre gift from my cat, I assumed that all felines had an undeniable predatory nature within them. No matter how adorable their whiskers or how dainty their toe beans, cats are designed to be hunters.
But apparently, as we see in this heartwarming story, that's not the case of every cat.
Some cats are born to be meowthers to the creatures of this world, caring for them and loving them instead of batting them around like playthings.
