This is funny, yes, but it is also actually extremely accurate. Cats disappear around our houses all the time. This is a universal cat owner experience. What is also a universal cat owner experience is that when this happens, the first thing that we do is… look for lumps in blankets. If there is an unexpected lump somewhere, oftentimes, we don't even bother lifting the blanket, don't bother waking our cats up, because we know that they are there. It's when there are no suspicious lumps around the house and we can't find our cats that we start worrying.
