21 Heartmelting Moments When Puppers Gave People their Paw

If there is one way that our sweet doggos can show their love for us hoomans it is with a passing of their paw. And in this collection, we have a whole heap of heartmelting paw passing moments.

A paw is something of great importance to a doggo. Much like the underside of our feet, it is their base, it is their way to sense the ground under foot and it is of great importance to them. So by giving you their paw, they are signalling to you that they trust, love and respect you enough to entrust your hands with their delicate paw. Which is something that us doggo pawrents deeply crave in our relationships with our canine children. To have them recognise our efforts in caring for them is more than we could ever ask for.

After all, it is a thankless job taking them for walks in the rain, picking up after them, cleaning them when they come home caked in mud. No one asks to be recognised for such work, but when it is, when they pass you their paw, it is all worth it.   • Not all doggos give up their paws for the same reason. In fact, it seems to be quite the personal affair, with each passing of the paw standing for something quite different depending on the dog who is passing the paw. In this case it seems to represent an expression of deep love and dedication. An admiration even of this pupper and pawrent’s relationship and all it has given both parties. It is one of those moments you wait for all your life, a true moment to be cherished.

  • If the single paw was enough to melt our dog loving hearts, then the double paw is just an immediate flooring. What could be cuter and more heartfelt than a doggo of older age who shows their love and appreciation to their life long pawrent with a gentle double paw. This is what being a pawrent is all about, it is what some of the trendier among us might even call peak pawrenthood. Those paw prints will be burned into that pawrent’s memory for long after this sweet doggo crosses its well earned rainbow bridge walk.
