We all wish for a snuggly cat, but is there such a thing as a cat who likes cuddling too much?

Everyone who adopts a cat has one thought in their mind louder than any other, and that is that they wish, with all of their heart, for their cat to be a velcro cat. We know, of course, that it's relatively rare for a cat to be like that. Cats like their space. They like their privacy. They like choosing when and where to cuddle, and more often than not, they choose it rarely. It is an honor for a cat to cuddle their human.

Velcro cats are different. They are the kind of cats who want to cuddle all the time. They will approach you on the couch, in bed, when you're on your computer or in the bathroom. Anytime, anywhere, they would enjoy your love. It's like winning the cat lottery. Everyone wants it. Or so we thought. We have never thought that there could be such a thing as a cat who wants to cuddle too much? Were we wrong?

This may be one of the most wholesome problems to have. Oh, how terrible it must be to have a cat who wants to cuddle you to sleep every night. Sure, yes, we understand the issue. But really, we would rather have this one than just about any other issue. Eventually - and we say this with experience of our own - you will get used to picking your cat up, tucking it in that spot that he loves next to you under the blankets, and it will be perfect. Yes, it might wake you from your sleep for a moment, but it will be just that - just a moment. You will be trained the same way that he was. And you will get kitty cuddles every single night. It might not look like a purrfect win for you yet, but we promie you, it will be.

Simple solution to that is trimming your cat's nails every once in a while. Yeah, not a “simple” solution excatly, especially if you have not done it before. But it does solve the problem that you have right meow, so it might be worth thinking about and trying. Maybe your cat will take to that as easily as everything else.
