Curiosity sometimes feels like a vestigial world. With the inundation of phone use, our brains are in a constant state of dopamine depletion. Ancient, esoteric experiences of minimal stimulation may look empty, defeated, or facile. But in fact, they're not. Curiosity lies at the center of that kind of mindset. It's the thing that makes an artist paint, makes a writer write, or makes a young man smitten pursue a person instead of his phone.
