'This little dude was just chilling on the coffee table': Orange tabby strolls into couple's apartment and immediately acts like he owns the place, couple accept their CDS fate

Imagine walking in one day and just seeing this orange cat sitting like he owns the place.

Orange cats do have a reputation for being even more brazen, blunt, and bashful than other breeds, and this one is no different. This guy has been wanting a new cat for several years after the passing of his old cat, Stache, in 2019. His old cat got along swimmingly with his dog, Rango, and he wanted to repeat that dynamic again, but also wanted to be gentle with himself about moving on quickly. A few days ago the cat distribution system gave him no choice anymore. His girlfriend was at home while he was working, and his front door needs some tender, love, and care. It hangs open ajar if you don't firmly shut it, which he didn't on this day. His girlfriend walked out of the bedroom and the door was open, and this little orange was just sitting on the coffee table like he owns the place. Then he immediately runs up to the girlfriend and starts purring and rubbing himself all over her.

Miraculously, the orange and his dog, Rango, also got along immediately! He finds out if this cat has an owner, and sees that the cat isn't microchipped. Orange cats really do live up to their reputation, just like orange people. Redheads are also known for being “fiery,” and it's funny and interesting to see that the stereotype isn't specific to one type of species – it's cross species consistency! There's something about being red or orange that makes someone (or some cat) on the dangerous side. Not in an evil or malicious way, but they're just a little more mischievous than other cats. They really do have expectations and behaviors so outside of other cats. I'm a redhead, and I also have a ginger cat, so you can only imagine how chaotic we get together. But honestly, that's how I like it. Enjoy this hilariously cute story!
