Pandas are a lot of things. Majestic is not really one of them. I mean they are in their own way.
They trip over their own feet climbing trees they didn't need to climb. They fall off things that weren't even that high. They sneeze themselves across the floor. They sit in positions that suggest bones are more of a suggestion than a structural requirement. They get startled by their own sneezes. They roll down hills, not because something pushed them, not because they miscalculated, just because at some point going downhill seemed like the natural continuation of whatever they were doing and there was no internal voice that said maybe not.

And yet. Somehow, against all reasonable odds, pandas are one of the most beloved creatures on the planet. Conservation programs. International diplomacy. People flying to specific zoos in specific countries just to stand in front of a glass and watch one eat bamboo with the focus of someone defusing a bomb. The panda does nothing to earn this. The panda simply exists, spectacularly unbothered, and the world organizes itself around protecting that energy.
There's something in that worth sitting with.
Because everyone has a moment, or several, or a running highlight reel that plays uninvited at 3am, of something embarrassing. Something clumsy, something miscalculated, something that made you wish the floor had more immediate opening capabilities. The thing you said in the meeting. The door you walked into. The completely avoidable situation you walked directly into anyway because you simply didn't think it through.

The pandas are doing that every single day. On camera. In front of crowds. And nobody loves them less for it. If anything, that's exactly why people love them.
There's a version of self-forgiveness that doesn't require a whole journey, it just requires remembering that the most adored animal in the world regularly falls off a slide and gets back up like nothing happened. No embarrassment. No spiral. Just bamboo, a brief recovery, and carrying on.That's the panda philosophy. Zero bamboos given. Full heart engaged.
