“Got my first Maine Coon!”
After being a foster home and socialising two terrified little cats for four months, I finally have my very own Maine Coon! Wonda is three years old and was supposed to be a breeding cat, but she has a mild degree of hip dysplasia, and didn't get along with the other lady cats after being sterilised, so I get to have her instead!

There’s nothing like having your own cat after fostering. You get used to taking them in, caring for them, and then saying goodbye when they move on. So when one finally stays, it’s different. No countdown, no getting ready to let them go. They’re just there, part of your routine, and you know they’re yours.

I was certain that she'd spend her first night hiding in the tower or the closet, but as SOON as I went to bed, she flopped over right into my side, purring and kneading and pushing her head into my hand 🥹 I nearly cried, it's been so long since I had an affectionate cat...
I'm beside myself with joy ❤️

Some cats are super affectionate, and they’re the best. They just decide to come over on their own, hop up, circle once or twice, and curl right into you like that’s their spot. No asking, no hesitation. The purring starts, the kneading kicks in, and they lean in close without pulling away.
They really settle into it too. Pressed right up against you, tucked in, getting as comfortable as possible. If you move, they adjust and find their way right back into the same spot. They don’t get distracted or wander off after a minute. They stay.
And that’s what makes it so good. They could be anywhere else, but they picked you. They chose to come over, get comfortable, and stay there. Once they’re in cuddle mode, they’re fully in.

Wonda is beautiful. Your house panther has such a glorious mane and the sweetest face and eyes. What a snuggler. She is loving your window. Congratulations to you both! 🥰🥰🥰

Clearly this one’s running full surveillance on the neighbors. Posted at the window like it’s got a report to file, tracking every person, car, and random movement outside. Nothing slips by without getting watched. Sitting there like it knows something everyone else doesn’t, just quietly gathering information all day. If anything happens on that street, this cat already saw it first.
