She's here, she's finally here!
My package arrived i've been chosen :D I kid lol
I never really thought about having a cat since my parents aren't too fond of them, I am the sole owner of the dog, and iIm moving for college soon. But she just wandered in a couple weeks ago and we just clicked.
Kept her in our garage while we looked for an owner, but iIm positive we met before when she was a smaller kitten stalking around the bushes.
Day by day I noticed I was accumulating new things over the span of a week and a half. Bought specific toys after I figured out she really liked tossing balls around, the elite Dr. Elsey litter cause I heard it was pretty good, went to goodwill to get supplies to make her a bed, added some sardine bones and quail eggs (I heard they were good for them?) to my usual dog food run.. all while we were waiting for her wellness check and waiting to hear back from a potential owner.
When her appointment finally came and I took her to the vet, we found no microchip, and that she's just getting her adult teeth now... still a baby.
Well after her vet appointment, she wanders inside the house like she owns the place (she was too scared to go in earlier and preferred climbing the old mattress in the garage). I'm just so excited to have found her.. I never thought iId own a cat (cause I'm content with the one terrier I have now), but shes a purring machine and follows me around everywhere. Now I got a velcro dog and a velcro cat. She is the perfect edition to my family
Edit: Thank you all for your warm welcome into the cat parent life 😆 I love reading you all's stories in the comments and in this sub. i'm in it for the long run now lmao

You're her person now and I hope you have a wonderful time together. She seems to have chosen well.
A beautiful void. You are a wonderful person for adding her to your family. Wishing you and her many years of cuddles and loveSeems like you have been adopted

It's not only unlikely for her to take the black cat because of her imminent move for university, but because she's never been a cat pawrent. She's a tried and true dog owner, but now she's expanding her horizons and willing to take in a cat as well. A truly heartwarming story, and the young innocence of a college student's excitement about life really speaks through.
