Happy Mother's Day! 

Mother's Day isn't specific to what kind of mom you are. Being a mom means you've put in the time, energy, and nurturing patience for the sake of someone else. It means you sacrificed yourself, you were selfless in the face of life's strictness, you put someone else's needs before your own. It means you provide, you teach, and you love. That's where cat moms come in. People may think your job isn't easy or motherly, but it is! Just because your child isn't a human doesn't mean he's not your child. It's still a lot of tender, love, and care to raise a cat child. There's money involved, and if you travel somewhere you have to account for your fur baby. You can't be gone from home for too long or else your cat starts crying. And when you get home you can't go straight to your phone or the TV without giving some love and attention to him. 

Being a mom this Mother's Day means celebrating you. Whether that means going out to a family brunch of dinner and being treated like a queen, having an alone day away from everyone as a way to decompress, or whether it means scrolling these cat memes with your fur baby to show how much you love each other, it's a day for you.   • Every family has a tradition for Mother's Day. In my family, the tradition went like this: wake up and have brunch together as a family. What we had was very important too. It was always blueberry pancakes, but specifically Krusteaz box mix. To my father's disappointment, my mom preferred that to his homemade stuff. There was one day of the year that she could make all the rules and indulge in her cravings as much as she wanted, so she did. Along with blueberry pancakes, she liked freshly squeezed orange juice. After breakfast and resting, it usually meant that we were going to go to either a museum, or some sort of historical site, or a walking tour. She's really fascinated with culture and history, so that was usually what we did. Then, of course it was dinner. It either was some sort of American style Bistro, or a homemade meal by my dad.
