'Her distribution was foretold': Tiny mountain-road kitten named Kismet matches the cartoon cat on a girl’s sleeve in a rescue moment that felt completely written by fate

Kismet's whole story felt like fate stepped in and delivered a kitten.

A tiny kitten showed up alone on a dirt road while this family was driving back from the mountains, and then a second look revealed she somehow matched the cartoon cat on the daughter's sleeve perfectly. That already felt like a sign. Everything about the moment sounded unreal in the best way, like this little kitten had appeared exactly where she was supposed to. She wandered right into their lives and never really looked back.

She definitely had a rough start though. Kizzy was this scraggly little four-month-old kitten weighing only three pounds when they found her. She was tiny, skinny, and clearly having a hard time. It took time before she finally started filling out, gaining weight, and looking healthy again. Little by little she got stronger, more comfortable, and more confident around the house.

Now she sounds completely fearless. Going from a sick kitten found on the side of a dirt road to a healthy six-pound cat fighting the heavyweight boys in the house is a pretty incredible glow-up. Cats always seem to make up for lost time too. One minute they're wrapped in blankets looking tiny and fragile, then suddenly they're sprinting through the house acting like they own everything in sight. Kizzy clearly decided this was her home from the very beginning.

After three rounds of antibiotics, two rounds of anti parasitics, all the tests/vaccines and a spay, she’s thriving and finally putting on weight. Our vet must loooooooove seeing us walk in with a project. Started out as a straggly 4mo kitten at only 3lbs, she’s now tipping the scales at 6lbs and fighting the heavyweight boys in the house.

This really is the definition of wearing your heart on your sleeve. The cartoon cat on the daughter’s sleeve matching Kizzy right when they found her somehow made the whole moment feel even more meant to happen. Out of everywhere this kitten could have ended up, she found the exact people who were supposed to take her home. One stop on a dirt road later and suddenly Kizzy had a whole family waiting for her.

Kizzy clearly planned this whole thing out and found herself the purrfect family. Kizzy probably knew the second she got into that car that she wasn’t going back to the dirt road again. Everything after that really sounds like she settled in fast too. From scraggly little kitten to confident house cat picking fights with the heavyweight boys is a pretty serious upgrade. She really found the right people to take her in and help her turn into the healthy little menace she was always meant to be.
