"$1600 to find out he’s just thirsty"
i thought my man was having some kind of autoimmune or kidney issue but no. the seventy gallons of water he drinks in one go was just him being obnoxious.
-10/10 experience do not recommend. but he’s cute, i guess. 😒
friendly reminder to not put off check ups and bloodwork just to have that peace of mind when something seems weird. even if you sold your own kidney to do it.

We call ours the water buffalo.
My first dobie is six months now and I have never had a dog that drinks this much water. My poodles and terriers of a similar size never went through water like this. He pees like a horse.
Mine does the same thing. I'm not sure if most of it makes it in the body though.
As soon as my dude walks away from his water bowl he gracefully releases a half gallon of water from his mouth to keep the floors hydratedMy dobie does the SAME THING. Longest drinks I’ve ever seen in my life! Lol

Though it may seem like $1,600 is a lot, it's actually worth it for the peace of mind. There's nothing else like worrying about your pet's health. I just had a friend who took his cat to the vet and found out she had 4 rotten teeth. He could see something was off in her, and decided to take her to the vet on a whim. It's incredible how we can tell something is wrong with our animals from their micro behaviors. There's no reason not to take your pet to the vet, even if you're not sure. Knowing that they've been checked and that they're okay is good enough.
