  • AITAH for not wanting to chauffeur around 6 girls on my bday trip?

I f30 recently went on a girls trip (friends for 15 years) to Atlanta for my birthday. (We drove a total of 3 cars on a 3 hour drive) After we arrive they appoint me as designated driver which I
  • declined. Then they started giving me the cold shoulder. And ignoring my calls and texts the next day when I was seeing what time we were leaving the hotel. I explained to them that I have the
  • right to say no and it would be no fun for me to be a chauffeur on a trip I am supposed to enjoy. Now I don't mind taking turns driving, but to make me drive the entire on my bday trip is insane. AITA
  • for taking my personal rental on day 2 of being ignored to go out and enjoy the city? I didn't go to atl to not have a good time and I didn't get a babysitter for the week to sit in a hotel all week
  • long. They ended up catching Ubers to wherever they wanted to go and didn't include me ( nothing was wrong with any of their cars they just didn't want to drive; and neither did I) I had a
  • grand time, but apparently I'm wrong for not sitting in the hotel the entire time bc they were mad at me and wanted me to not enjoy my time in a new city. My husband keeps telling me they
  • were never my friends by the way they acted over literally driving. I thought fall outs on girls trips was a thing for tiktok I had no idea these things were real. This is how
  • women end up missing, going on these girls trips and the girls having secret animosity or wanting to be mean girls at their big age.

  • Substantial_Rub_209 Girl, your husband is right. Block them all and move on.
  • Annoyed Redheaded Mom NTA and happy birthday You deserve to be celebrated, not relegated to chauffeur.
  • Emergency-Kale5033 It's all a bit weird. They actually left you out all trip?? Is there something else going on here??
  • SpiritualThought682 OP They did. Idk what they discussed behind closed doors bc I had a separate room. But I still got out and enjoyed myself
  • LilMama1908 You should've listened to your husband! I am sure that's not the first time he's told you that these girls are not your friends.
  • SpiritualThought682 OP This actually was the first time, this is the first time they acted like this towards me
  • whtbsnesk I hope you did not pay one penny toward their bills or front anything on a credit card. Cancel cars rooms and reservations that are in your name. They can fend for themselves
  • SpiritualThought682 OP Oh I would never pay for anyone's things... my stuff was already booked in advance bc | originally was going solo. They all wanted to make it a "great time" so they came out as well.
  • Careless_Welder_4048 NTA your husband is right
  • Soccer_Boy_Mom NTA. Sadly, some adults never GROW out of high school antics and mentality. Much to my dismay, high school did not end in high school for many and no one could've warned me that it would be this bad.
  • Hutchoman87 NTA. Husband is on the money that these aren't your friends. Real friends would not behave so poorly or treat a friend this way. C way to find out your friends aren't in fact your friends.
