'We traveled by car, plane, boat and train to get home': Former Florida street cat Tangerino takes an unbelievable international journey to England after following the right person home and getting adopted forever

Tangerino really went from Florida street cat to full international traveler in record time. One minute he was a community TNR cat hanging around outside, and the next he was making a two-day journey across cars, planes, boats, and trains all the way to England. That is an unbelievable upgrade for one little orange guy who originally just decided to follow somebody home.

After some Facebook searching and getting approval from his feeder, the rescue mission officially started. Then came all the chaos of carrier training, harness practice, changed flights, and of course one final street fight right before departure because orange cats always seem determined to keep life stressful until the very end.

Now Tangerino is curled up beside a heating pad adjusting from Florida heat to English weather like a tiny tourist completely unprepared for winter. It is a pretty huge lifestyle change after spending so much time outside fighting, sleeping on sidewalks, and surviving however he could.

The best part is knowing he never has to go back to that life again. No more fleas, mosquitoes, dirt, or worrying about his next meal. Now he gets warmth, safety, naps, and somebody who clearly loves him enough to bring him across the ocean just to make sure he gets the life he deserves.

    Our orange traveler is still sleeping it off, more or less glued to the heating pad as he adjusts to the cold climate. He's had a massive lifestyle change, so I'm giving him all the time he needs to settle in.

  • This person really went a lot farther than just the extra mile for Tangerino. Rearranging flights, getting all the paperwork done, carrier training, and then taking a cat across cars, planes, boats, and trains is serious dedication. Most people would have stopped at finding him a local home, but instead Tangerino ended up getting flown across the ocean for a better life. That little orange guy seriously found somebody willing to go a couple thousand extra miles just to make sure he was safe, loved, and warm forever.

  • Tangerino really went from sunny Florida street cat to cozy little English gentleman. After that huge trip across planes, boats, trains, and cars, his meows are definitely going to come back with a British accent eventually. The image of this tiny orange guy adjusting to cold weather beside a heating pad after spending so much time outside is honestly so cute. One day he is dodging mosquitoes and heat waves, and the next he is basically living the fancy indoor life overseas.

  • Get ready for a lifetime of adorable cuddles and classic orange cat shenanigans. Tangerino already sounds like the kind of little guy who is going to keep life entertaining every single day. Orange cats somehow manage to be sweet, chaotic, dramatic, affectionate, and slightly ridiculous all at the same time. One minute he will probably be curled up peacefully beside the heating pad, and the next he will be sprinting through the house with absolutely no plan in mind. That little orange face is definitely going to cause a lot of lovable trouble for years to come.
