Senior cat in stroller helps cat mom locate screaming kitten abandoned in alleyway, resulting in an unexpected adoption and a young addition to their fur family, mom says: ‘The temp was dropping and I knew it wouldn’t stand a chance!’

Kittens require round the clock care in their early days, a task that towers above most. But when this cat mom came across an abandoned newborn, she did not hesitate to take the challenge head on and ensure the safety of the precious feline she had found.

The entirety of this story from Reddit's r/kittens subreddit is quite the outlier when it comes to feline rescues. Beginning with the fact that this cat mom was out for a stroll with her cat in a baby stroller. A level of pawrenthood that most of us can only dream off and one that she seems to enjoy rather effortlessly.

We can only assume that the fact she has gotten her feline child comfortable in a stroller means that this is no ordinary pawrent, and that her superior skills are what led the Cat Distribution System to present her with a screaming kitten to challenge her cat caring skills. But alas, the kitten was no match and with a great deal of effort it soon became a part of her fur family. Delivering a shining example of what it takes to make things work. Because even though the solution was not comfortable, the reward was more than worth it.

  • Well, we will have to wait to unpack the cat child in the stroller thing until later. Because now we have to focus on this truly bizarre occurrence. It is not common at all to find a kitten abandoned in a relatively exposed area such as this one. Cat moms usually stick close by to their young and unless they are in the middle of transit, usually tuck their kittens out of sight. So it is tough to say how this poor kitten ended up alone, screaming for its mother to find it, but we sure are happy that this cat lover took the time to find this kitten in need.

  • Now, that is what we mean when we say that there is no excuse not to care for a cat. Sure, it might be difficult, it might be uncomfortable, but the moment that you are responsible for an animal you have to make it work. And boy oh boy has this cat pawrent made it work, recruiting everyone she could get her hands on to care for this precious kitten. What she has done has not only helped the feline in question but also taken strain off the already highly strained shelter system and ultimately given this kitten the best start it could have had in life. What can we say, good things come from good things.
